Why is it that when you're not looking for it, love comes along and smacks you in the face like a wet fish?

Here's the situation: -

Met guy #1 in November. He was and still is an absolutely amazing guy and I fell for him really quickly. Then it all went pear shaped but I still can't get him out of my head. Think we all know who I'm talking about. Mr Martin Grant.

Then guy #2 came along....and he happens to be guy #1's brother. Chris. He's such a beautiful person and I'm so happy being with him. We've been together 2 months now and things are going well.

Can't help this niggling feeling though that there's a lot of unresolved stuff with me and the other one.

Hey everyone, Happy New Year...and also a happy birthday to me. Another year older and no less wiser.

So onto an important topic. Why is it that when you're not looking for something, someone comes along and turns your world upside down?

Fair enough you may think....I've already discussed Martin on here. But now there's 3 more guys in my life that have affected me. And it not only hurts me but it frightens me as well.

I love Martin...but he only 'cares' for me. So I'm trying to get to know someone else. But there's this shadow hanging over us....

Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Hey ho. Thought it was about time for a little update. I guess you could say a lot has happened. I no longer live in Dundee. Through in Perth now and I think it was the best decision I've ever made.

Aside from saving money, I now have a flat that I can call my own. It's closer to my work obviously, although a full time job would be well appreciated at the moment.

And, oh yeah.... I met someone. A special someone. Someone who makes my heart bounce every time he walks into a room.

His name's Martin and I met him not so long ago thanks to Vikki and Shaz. He's the most gorgeous, bootylicious, amazing guy in the world. Ever. Period.

He makes me happy.

Things that have made me happy this year: -

Martin obviously.
Spending more time with my family.
Meeting Vikki - gonna be a friend for life that one.
Rachel winning Big Brother.

Things that have made me sad: -
Not seeing enough of my beloved Gracie.
Not getting a chance to catch up with my Gloucester peeps.
Diana NOT winning the X Factor.
Being more of a friend to someone than a lover.

Hey ho, thought I would do a wee update.

So far 2008 is all good. I dare say I'm content. Wouldn't go as far as happy coz when is that ever gonna happen?

Had my review at work yesterday. My manager is verrrryyyy pleased with me, says I'm a valuable and appreciated member of the team. Made me blush.

Going out with Chez and Crazy tonight. Should be a laugh. Can't get too pissed though as I need to babysit Melissa and Ruben tomorrow. Small sacrifices!

Majorly pissed off coz ever since I lost my last phone I haven't been able to contact Tofty and I've been missing her recently...maybe has something to do with my dreams of Gloucester. Mostly The Regal....says a lot.

Also, The Brits - Leona won sweet fuck all! Can't believe it. She well deserved Best Female over Kate Nash.

Anyways, randomness over, I'm gonna toddle off for a shower and make myself look purty.

Lol, watching the Buffy series finale online. Oh the memories! So it's 2008 and I've been keeping this journal going for almost 4 years. And what's new? Not a lot I'm afraid.

Got a week off work as of today. Pretty skint as off to Glasgow next weekend for Debbie's birthday.

Fallen out with Kerry as she hasn't reimbursed me for the Spice Girls tickets. Gutted I never got to see them. :-(

Turkey is looming on the horizon but there's a big hoo-hah going on as to what's happening.

Other than that, not a lot else going on so I'll say ta-ra!

Yeah so I lost my phone the other night. A complete act of stupidness even for me! Luckily Debbie got me a new phone for Xmas so all is good.

Speaking of Xmas, on a scale of 1 to 10 mine would be somewhere in the middle. Guess I'm getting too old for this holiday!

Every morning I wake up and think "Ooh, I need to write something in my journal today!" but when I sit down to put my thoughts into words I can't be bothered. I know I've said this before but I don't want to shut this journal down. It's a nice memory, sure, but I'm not ready to say goodbye yet.

So 2007 is coming to an end. Another year will soon be upon us. And so I would like to take this opportunity to say Happy New Year to all my peeps.

Just a little Chazza quote there. I feel like crap. Had this bloody cold for the past 4 days and it's not shifting! Maybe a drink tonight will help, who knows?

Had a dream about Marc the other night. Random but made me feel sad when I woke up.

Work's plodding along fine. My life is so uneventful nowadays.

X Factor tonight. My prediction on who will go? Either Andy or Beverley. As long as it's not Same Difference. They make me smile.

The head storm that was my hangover...

Yesterday I felt unbelievably ill. But as it was my own fault I don't expect any sympathy.

Seriously though, Friday night was a lot of fun until it all kicked off and I feel a tad guilty for being in my own little tipsy world and just wanting to have a good time!

Set foot in the London for the first time in a year and a half. Was kissed by a random straight guy before going in. He wanted me, Charz and Steph to come to Private Eyes with him and when the girls told him I was gay, he said he was too. I disagreed and then he pounced. Oh the shame!

Didn't stay long though as I knew if I drank anymore I would have hit the deck. Spent money that I don't have, you know, the usual Roy thing to do.

So yesterday myself and Charz somehow managed to make it into town where we got a few bits and bobs. Then the rest of the day was spent lying on the sofa or on the Net, effortless activities which were all I could manage.

X Factor was a bit of a shocker last night. Futureproof and Hope in the bottom two! Glad the boys went over the girls though.

Might be meeting Kerry at some point today and then it's back to work tomorrow after a week's holiday (if you can call it that).

In the meantime I shall strive to read 'Red Carpets and Other Banana Skins' by the immensely funny and talented Rupert Everett.

Methinks this journal's time is coming to an end. I never update as much as I used to as there's not really a lot to say.

Had lunch with Dad, Suze and Emily at Lloyds today. Was good. They got to see the flat as well and the reaction was positive.

At the moment, sitting here with Charz and wee Steph listening to some good beats.

Work 10.30 to 3.30 all next week - good times.

How amazing was the 'Oaks all last week?

We had the climax to two major storylines - JP/Craig and the whole Clare saga.

I must say I'm a little bit disappointed about the former...although both Guy and James were absolutely fantastic. Just the way things were left, with Craig's sexuality still up in the air...oh well, guess it makes room for a return. But anyways, goodbye and good luck Guy, we'll miss you!

And yay, Clare's still alive!!!

I've not updated going on 2 months now which is just unacceptable in my opinion. So what's new? I'm living with Dirty and Charz now which is...new...exciting...and a little bit scary all at the same time. But I think it's good for me to get out from under my mum's feet although I miss Melissa and Ruben like mad. It's weird not seeing them every day but this is the start of a brand new chapter for me. What an adventure!

Hopefully my job situation won't change as I still want to stay within the company. Plus don't wanna leave Abs, Clare, Jeffy and Lauren. Don't think they'd cope without me ha ha ha!

Was at Lara's wedding reception last night. Absolutely brilliant night. Lara looked gorgeous and it was good to have us all together again.

So I didn't go to Gloucester last week. I think the reason is that I just feel that everything's done and dusted in that respect now. I mean, last time, I got to see Sara and Tofty (also, in passing, Amie, Cherry, the Charleys and Dexter). Couldn't have asked for better than that. Well, if I'm being really honest, it would have been nice to see Rach and Wele...and even Steve to an extent, even though I got severely fucked off with him on MySpace the week before I went down. Saying that, I have another holiday in October so I might change my mind before then.

Anyways, I spent two days at home last week before heading straight back through to Dirty's where I stayed from Wednesday till Saturday. Much drinking was had. I fell flat on my face in Yuppies after tripping over a wire that was lying loose from a speaker (hmmm...should sue...). I chatted up some Algerian guy on the Net. I lost at Monopoly shamefully. All in all, a fun last week.

Then it was back to work. And it took 10 minutes for me to feel like I'd never been away. Thank god Jeffy was in, otherwise I would have been extremely bored.

And today I'm at good ol' Kezza's. Been a very lazy day, just smoking and chatting away. Good times.

P.S. Hollyoaks: - amazing on E4 last night. Craig said 'I love you' to JP. Sweet!

Wow, what a strange first week of my holiday. Spent the majority of it at my gran's as for some stupid reason it it statistically impossible for a 21 year old to be left in charge of a house. But on the whole I ended up having a very good time travelling to such wondrous places as Perth and Dundee (where I am right now actually).

Even went into my work, just to get my payslip though. Saw Fabs and Jeffy (who's upset that I'm off as he has no one to bully...my god, could history actually be repeating itself?) Meeting up with the two of them sometime over the next week to go for drinks...and speaking of drinks, being in the pub from half 12 yesterday afternoon probably wasn't the best idea.

Yup, currently up at Dirty's recovering from another night of debauchery. Some things will never change. In my semi-drunk state I suddenly remembered it was Rachael's birthday so I sent her a wee text. Anyways, back to the pub. Yes, started off in Sheridans (with my grandad and Dirty) then up to the Bank Bar which is actually a really nice pub. Old-fashioned, decor included, the way a pub should be.

So my grandad left and we went down to Lloyds where we had a Filthy/Gorgeous (sorry Princess D!) and munch. Bought a couple of DVDs then more drink and came back up to the house. Charlene and Cheryl came up for a bit and we just put some beats on and danced around like idiots...oh, and Dirty applied for Shipwrecked too.

Anyways, must go and meet Charlene. I promised her lunch.

Hey there folks. Thought I might as well update seeing as I haven't really been bothered with this journal recently.

Not been up to much recently, just working away doing the usual.

It was Lou's leaving do on Saturday so the Clarks crew travelled to Sandeman's where we all had a nice meal and wished her well. Was good fun.

I'm off on holiday in 2 weeks. Dunno if I'm gonna go down to Gloucester again in the second week now though. Depends how much I get paid I suppose.

Things I am loving at the moment -

Hollyoaks. As if you couldn't tell from the icon. Specifically Craig and John Paul. Coz they're just so damn cute together.

Shipwrecked. Last episode on Sunday and I am rooting for the Tigers to win. And they'd better. Otherwise I shall have a severe BF.

Last episode of DH last night. And oh my God, what a way to end it! Roll on season 4!

My Season 8 Charmed boxset....the extra features are really good and we even get a glimpse of the late, lamented Prue, albeit in archive footage.

Things I am not loving -

Just one really. Big Brother last night was a huge disappointment. A house full of girls. What's that all about?

Anyways, that's all for now. Up at the lovely Dirty Debbie's at the moment so we must grab some lunch.

Not updated for a while. Truth be told, I really can't be bothered anymore!

Gloucester was fun. Saw loads of peeps down there which was cool. It was just great to be back down there without the pressure and hassles of college etc. Going down again for a week in June. Don't think 3 days was long enough!

Becoming restless in my job. Knew this would happen. So I've applied for a customer services position at Norwich Union. Better money so that's a plus.

Socially, I've not been up to much recently. Don't talk to certain people anymore but Marie and myself are still as close as ever. I'd rather have one great friend than ten people bitching about me behind my back.

So, it's all good!

After I've finished this entry I am travelling into Perth to my workplace to participate in a training evening. Now that's dedication for ya! I was given the option not to come in but I thought, hey, might as well. It'll look good on my part after all.

So my Gloucester trip looms large on the horizon. I'm actually really excited now. Sara says we're going out for Clara's birthday on Friday so bound to get slightly drunk!

Crappy Valentine's Day!

Hey it's the day when all the loved up people get to laugh at all the single people! How cruel is that?

Anyways, had my fitting course on Monday with Abs. And let me tell you, the Sauchiehall Street branch of Clarks is a bitch to get lost in. Well, the stock room is anyways! And the actual course itself? Well, it was interesting. Found out lots of stuff that I didn't know before although poor Abbie was basically listening to the same stuff over.

What else? Oh yes, been getting abused on Myspace. Not to worry. I've been quite mature about the whole thing. Admittedly it involves using a new muscle but I'm managing.

Off on holiday on Sunday. Then Gloucester on the 23rd. Fun.

Anyways, enough for now. Jimmy Chung's is calling!
